La Fundaci\u00f3n Metropolitan House ha realizado una visita institucional a la Delegaci\u00f3n Territorial de ONCE Catalunya<\/strong>, en Barcelona, para conocer de primera mano su modelo de atenci\u00f3n y los recursos que promueven la autonom\u00eda personal<\/strong> y la inclusi\u00f3n social<\/strong> de las personas ciegas y con discapacidad visual grave. La comitiva fue recibida por Enric Bot\u00ed<\/strong>, delegado de la ONCE en Catalunya, quien expuso la trayectoria de la organizaci\u00f3n \u2014fundada en 1938\u2014 y su adaptaci\u00f3n continua para mejorar la calidad de vida de sus afiliados.<\/p>\n Durante el recorrido, el equipo conoci\u00f3 el \u201cPiso de Vida Diaria\u201d<\/strong>, un espacio formativo donde las personas afiliadas aprenden a gestionar tareas cotidianas \u2014como cocinar o planchar\u2014 para ganar autonom\u00eda. Tambi\u00e9n se visitaron la imprenta braille<\/strong> y el Servicio Bibliogr\u00e1fico<\/strong>, que ofrece m\u00e1s de 75.000 obras adaptadas<\/strong> con braille, relieves e im\u00e1genes inclusivas. La jornada concluy\u00f3 en el Centro de Recursos Educativos<\/strong>, donde profesionales especializados acompa\u00f1an a ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes con ceguera y a sus familias a lo largo del proceso educativo.<\/p>\n Con una red de m\u00e1s de 70.000 personas afiliadas<\/strong> en Espa\u00f1a \u2014m\u00e1s de 10.000 en Catalunya<\/strong>\u2014, la ONCE opera el mayor centro europeo dedicado a la inclusi\u00f3n de personas ciegas, con programas en educaci\u00f3n, empleo, rehabilitaci\u00f3n, cultura, deporte, ocio<\/strong> y tecnolog\u00eda adaptada<\/strong>. El impacto de este modelo es posible gracias a la solidaridad ciudadana<\/strong> que sostiene sus iniciativas.
